Ericka Miller
Before joining the staff of The Education Trust as Vice President for Operations and Strategic Leadership, Ericka was Vice President and Director at the national executive search firm Isaacson, Miller, where she led the firm’s K-12 education practice. Previously, Ericka was President and Chief Operating Officer of The McKenzie Group, a comprehensive education consulting firm with a 20-year history of providing evaluation and technical assistance services to school districts, federal agencies, foundations, and other public and private organizations. Ericka also served as Education Legislative Assistant to former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey, advising the Senator on all elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education issues. After earning a PhD in English literature from Stanford University, Ericka taught at Mills College, in Oakland, California. Prior to launching her career in education, she worked as a magazine editor in Washington, DC. In addition to her doctorate, Ericka holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. She is a member of Leadership Washington's Class of 2004.
