    Parents and local communities have a big stake in making sure that all students are held to high standards and that their schools provide the support that teachers and students need to reach them.

     

    The Education Trust--West is committed to providing parents and community-based agencies with the tools and help they need to make the most of the reform efforts that are underway in most communities.       Making NCLB Work for You

     

      

     

    No Child Left Behind User Guide- This guide provides user-friendly information on NCLB that parents and communities can understand and use. This guide highlights key aspects of the NCLB law in user-friendly language helping parents and communities use NCLB for advocacy.

     

     

    No Child Left Behind Fact Sheets- These quick, easy one-page fact sheets provide vital information on key provisions of NCLB.

     

    California Supplemental Fact Sheets

    These Supplements drill it down to the State level, and provide detailed information about how NCLB can work for parents and schools in California

     

     

    Town Hall Meetings

     

    Through collaborations with the African American Parents/Community Coalition for Educational Equity, we conducted our first two Town Hall meetings in Los Angeles that brought together over 150 parents for two days of movement building, starting with a powerful data show lead by the parent leaders themselves and ending with an informative workshop for parents, “Standards in Practice for Parents and Community.”
