NABSE Partnership
In September of 2003 the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) entered into partnership with The Education Trust. As an Institutional Member and partner, The Education Trust will work to make its data, reports and other information readily available to NABSE members. The Education Trust has developed profiles and compiled data on school districts headed by African American superintendents. As a result, demographic information on these districts is now available. In addition, a list of high minority schools (in NABSE districts) scoring at the top of their respective states on state reading and math tests is now online. The Ed Trust attended the 31st NABSE Annual Conference in Reno Nevada, where Dr. Stephanie Robinson, Principal Partner, at The Ed Trust along with Dr. John Simpson, Superintendent for the Norfolk Public Schools System, conducted a session for the superintendents.
The Education Trust is honored to partner with the nation’s premier African American education organization. Working together we can demonstrate that we can close the achievement gap and that African American students can perform as well or better than any other group of students in this nation.
