The Education Trust collects, analyzes and uses data to make the case that all students will learn to high levels when they are taught at high levels. We make this data available to the public in Microsoft PowerPoint format to help advocates for reform generate support among their constituencies.
This PowerPoint uses the most up-to-date data to document the achievement patterns of children in the United States. This PowerPoint identifies ways the achievement gap can be closed in communities by identifying high performing schools with large minorty populations, listing steps school districts and local schools must take to close the achievement gap and citing ways that NCLB can help parents advocate for their children.
