School Counselor Preparation Programs
Today, the following universities continue to transform their school counselor preparation programs. These school counselor educators are teaching future counselors specific skills in advocacy, leadership, teaming, collaboration, counseling, consultation, and use of data. These efforts are focused on preparing school counselors to be agents of change in schools by using their skills to effect systemic change that removes the barriers that impede student achievement.
