CA Data and Presentations
At every level – local and state – our work is framed by data. Regardless of the audience – legislators, parents and community leaders, state and local board of education members, educators or journalists – the data are our most effective tools to cut to the heart of problems and move toward solutions. Using hard-hitting reports and data presentations, we shine a spotlight on achievement and opportunity gaps and, most importantly, how these gaps can be closed.
Empowering Educators, Policymakers, Parents and Communities to Use Education Data
We help educators, policymakers, parents and community groups around the state focus their efforts on closing the achievement gap. We work closely with organizational leaders to deepen their understanding of the data and reporting methods used to tell the story of student achievement. We also recognize that true empowerment requires more than just information: it requires solutions.
EdTrust-West assists education stakeholders to:
§ Understand the stories data tell.
§ Create community data portraits.
§ Monitor their students’ education, using tools that analyze standards, schedules, data, curriculum and assignments.
