Legislative Analyst

Reporting to the Vice President for Government Affairs and Communications, the Legislative Analyst will provide intellectual support and legislative expertise for The Education Trust’s federal policy recommendations. (more)

  

 

Community Liaison

Reporting to the Associate Director of PK-12 for School & District Assistance, the Community Liaison is a key player in The Education Trust’s practice work.  The Community Liaison will establish and maintain strong ties with parents and community groups to highlight the importance of quality instruction within a framework of a college and career ready curriculum.  In keeping with the organization’s belief that all children can be successful, the liaison will help parents and community members to understand that college readiness and career readiness require the same preparation, to know what that preparation should look like, and what parents, communities, and community leaders need to do to ensure access to educational opportunities that yield the outcome of success for all students. Executive Assistant

The Education Trust seeks two Executive Assistants, one to support the organization’s division of Government Affairs and Communications, and one to support the division of Program and Policy.  Reporting to either the Vice President for Government Affairs and Communications or the Vice President for Program and Policy, the Executive Assistant will provide strategic management of the Vice President’s schedule, coordinate meetings with internal and external contacts, prepare expense reports, track cross divisional projects, and provide general day-to-day office support.  The role is a pivotal support position, as the Executive Assistant is a key liaison among staff members and between the Vice President and external partners. Senior Practice Associate (Revised)

Reporting to the Associate Director of PK-12 for School & District Assistance, the Senior Practice Associate will have the opportunity to work directly on issues of significance across the landscape of professional practice in local and district schooling.  The work includes active engagement with school teachers, counselors, administrators, researchers, and community leaders.  The Senior Associate will help to ensure critical examination of standards, curriculum, policy, and the trajectory toward college and career readiness. Accounting Assistant

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for the overall coordination and timely processing of the organizations vendor

invoices and travel expense reports. (more)

 

 

Senior Associate for Transforming School Counseling

Reporting to the Director of The Education Trust’s National Center for Transforming School Counseling, the Senior Associate will have the opportunity to work with a network of organizations, state departments of education, school counselor professional associations, institutions of higher education, and school districts across the country dedicated to transforming counselors into powerful agents of change within their schools.   The NCTSC’s goal is to optimize the work of the school counselor as an assertive advocate in school improvement efforts to ensure that all students graduate ready for success in both college and career. Writer

We believe in the power of words to advance our mission. The Writer plays a key role in helping shape the discussions that support the organization’s policy, practice, and advocacy efforts. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this bright, quick thinker’s primary function is to help convey the Education Trust message in clear, compelling language through a variety of formats and to a variety of audiences. Senior Research Associate

Reporting to the Director of Research, the Senior Research Associate will play a critical role in ensuring that The Education Trust’s practice and policy work is informed by the most current and cutting-edge education research. The Senior Research Associate will conduct primary and secondary research to compose analytical and strategic briefs that will inform discussion and debate among education decision-makers at the national, state, and local levels. Field Coordinator

The Field Coordinator will play a key role in an exciting initiative to expand and intensify the impact of The Education Trust’s efforts to improve education throughout the nation. Reporting to the Field Director, the Field Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to assist in implementation of program goals that identify, educate, and mobilize key organizations outside of Washington, DC, around The Education Trust’s message and policy proposals. Manager of New Media

The Education Trust seeks a Manager of New Media to join the organization’s Division of Government Affairs and Communications.  As a key member of this team, reporting to the Director of Communications, the Manager of New Media is a strategic thinker who can lead The Education Trust’s efforts in the Web 2.0 realm to increase commitment to our mission of closing the gaps in achievement and opportunity.  The Manager of New Media is firmly entrenched in the new media space and responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive and effective online strategies to inform and activate a variety of target audiences.
